Family Fun Fridays!
"Fort Night"
Guess What? with homemade play-dough
Homemade Play Dough Recipe:
2 cups flour
3/4 cup salt
4 teaspoons cream of tartar
2 cups lukewarm water
2 Tablespoons oil (any kind of oil works...olive oil, vegetable oil, canola oil, coconut oil...)
food coloring
Mix dry ingredients in pot. Add oil & water. If making 1 color add food coloring to the water before mixing it. If you want multiple colors, cook the playdough first, divide it up and add food coloring later.
Stir constantly over medium (or a little less) heat until dough is thick & tacky. Form into a ball, cover with plastic and cool.
Use your playdough to sculpt things or actions, and your family has to guest what it is! Use a timer to make it even more challenging. Gather and use small random items to accessorize your sculpture (ex. toothpick & string for fishing pole, etc...)
Use cards from a pictionary or similar game to give you sculpture ideas, come up with your own creative ideas, or use the ideas below to get started!
